Job Title: District Manager

Position Reports To: Director of Sales

Position Location/Territory: Long Island

Position Objectives: A District Manager is the field representative of the organization. Most activities are centered on account development, distributor sales engagement, and the promotion of the portfolio in the market place

Key Job Responsibilities:

  • Educates customers and distributor personnel on the company portfolio
  • Conducts wine education presentations to the distributor sales force
  • Participates in store tastings and in supplier market visits
  • Develops strong relationships with key accounts on and off premise

Additional Skills and/or Educational Background:

  • At least a 2-year sales experience with a diverse portfolio is required along with proven On-Premise experience
  • Suppliers and management experience preferred
  • Prior retail and/or restaurant experience is preferred along with good general knowledge of wine, a passion for wine and a passion to sell

Ability to work independently and with distributor representatives.
