District Manager, Broward/Palm Beach
Job Title: District Manager
Position Reports To: SMUSA Management
Position Location/Territory: Broward/Palm Beach
Position Objectives: This position is responsible for working with a distributor team and independently within an assigned district to expand the Santa Margherita portfolio.
Key Job Responsibilities:
- Call on key accounts within assigned District
- Work with distributor personnel to achieve sale goals - new placements, revenue, case goals
- Provide educational wine training to distributor partner and key accounts through tastings and special events/dinners
- Develop and continue to build relationships within the distributor and key accounts in the assigned area
- Continue to develop wine knowledge, business acumen, and sales skills to increase professional growth
- Display original thinking and creativity for problem solving
- Communicate pertinent information between SMUSA management, Distributor management and key accounts
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, adapt and respond to change quickly
- Other duties assigned by SMUSA Management
Additional Skills and/or Educational Background:
- At least a 2-year sales experience with a diverse portfolio is required along with proven On-Premise experience. Supplier experience preferred
- Prior sales experience in retail or restaurant experience is preferred along with good general knowledge of wine, a passion for wine and a passion to sell
- This position requires the availability and willingness to to work flexible hours and weekends, when necessary
- Candidate must be prepared to reside within designated territory. Preferred candidate would live in the Broward or Palm Beach County
